WoodTech Atelier: Exploring Craftsmanship Through Finished Works

Located in Hall 8.1 (NECC, Shanghai, Hongqiao), the WoodTech Atelier presents a "See the Finished Product, Understand the Craft" concept. Seventeen equipment manufacturers collaborate with design, material, and craftsmanship partners to showcase a signature creative piece representing their technological pathway (such as curved components, mirror door panels, seamless edge banding samples, functional art pieces, etc.), accompanied by concise "process and concept" explanations and key component samples. This helps visitors clearly see the collaborative loop from design → materials → equipment → processes → inspection.

Visitors can first experience the finished products up close—appreciating their edges, textures, and luster—before tracing back key processes such as five-axis machining, soft-molding/special-shaped processing, seamless edge banding (laser/PUR), high-gloss/mirror surface treatment, sanding and spraying, AI vision/path planning, online inspection, and quality control.

They can then proceed to the corresponding technology suppliers' booths to watch live machine demonstrations and engage with engineers, transforming aesthetic details into actionable production rhythms and parameter solutions. This dedicated zone remains open throughout the entire exhibition period.

Concurrent Events | Insights and Leadership for Woodworking Industry Upgrading

As a key highlight of the exhibition, WMF 2025 will host multiple high-end conferences and exchange events. On September 9-10, the International Woodworking Cooperation Forum, under the theme "Green Manufacturing, Collaborative Development", will focus on global woodworking machinery trade data, industry trends, and market opportunities. Representatives from industry associations and enterprises in China, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Africa will engage in in-depth discussions on new directions for international cooperation and supply chain synergy. On September 10, a Buyer's Connect Business Exchange & Networking event will invite delegates from emerging markets such as India, Egypt, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, and Vietnam to facilitate precise connections and practical cooperation. On September 11, the WMF Top Picks 2025 – Recommended Exhibits will showcase the latest products and craft highlights.

Among these events, the Global Woodworking Smart Manufacturing Summit on September 10 has drawn significant attention.
