5 Sep marked the opening of the Shanghai International Furniture Machinery & Woodworking Machinery Fair (WMF), held until 8 Sep at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, Shanghai Hongqiao. Exhibiting along with CIFF (Shanghai) and CBD (Shanghai), these three shows gather to tie up the upstream and downstream of the furniture manufacturing chain and create a more fruitful, professional and international platform.

The four-day WMF has an exhibition area of 45,000 square meters, with more than 300 world-leading exhibitors, and is expected to attract more than 30,000 professional visitors. The three exhibitions will bring together the top machinery, materials and technologies from all over the world, and work together to connect upstream and downstream industries to fulfill the needs of supply and demand. On 5 Sep, a VIP Tour is arranged to kick start WMF 2022, more than 20 leaders from the woodworking industry were invited, including Mr. Liu Qun, the President of China National Forestry Machinery Association, Mr. Wei Jian, the Secretary-General of China National Forestry Machinery Association, and Mr. Parry Chung, General Manager of Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. In addition, associations and delegations from Jiangxi, Guangxi, Heilongjiang, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Fujian are invited to visit the fair for procurement.

Splendid Concurrent Events Promote the latest innovative technology

In addition to the comprehensive fair, WMF offers open talks and forums. More than 12 special guests are invited to share on 9 major themes such as new material trends, EB coating, digital printing, finishing technology etc. The first day highlighted event, “2022 Innovative Technologies and Materials driving Sustainability and Healthy Life in the Wood Working Industry”
, with the theme of "new technology, new materials, new life", engaged the on-site visitors to participate actively. The rest of the events for the coming days include: “2022 Dieffenbacher New Innovation Technology Conference”, “Industry Dialogue: Intelligent Manufacturing for Wooden Furniture”, “2022 Outdoor Building Materials Development Conference Cum Plastic Wood Application Forum”, and “The 3rd China Wood Industry Park and Port Industry Development Conference”.
