30,000 Global Visitors Gather at Asia Number 1 Woodworking Expo
WMF / FAM 2010 Aims at Greater Success in CIEC
The 12th International Exhibition on Woodworking Machinery and Furniture Manufacturing Equipment / The 12th International Exhibition on Furniture Accessories, Materials and Wood Products (also known as WMF 2008) achieved a thrilling ending on Mar 10, 2008. Attaining an exclusive support of EUMABOIS in China, 30,000 global trade visitors and buyers, 637 renowned exhibitors from over 20 countries / regions, with 60,000 sqm exhibiting area and over 2,000 advanced machineries - all contribute this Asia's no. 1 woodworking exhibition stepping into a new milestone.
The 4-day event was succeeded in attracting 29,298 trade visitors coming worldwide. Among them are: international buyer delegations from France, Poland, Russia, Spain, Brazil, Ireland, Romania, Latvia, Ukraine, Malaysia, etc. Also, Chinese buyer delegations including Beijing Building, Door and Window Industrial Association, Hebei Furniture Association, Shangdong Furniture Association, Shenfang Furniture Business Association, Tianjin Furniture Association and Yantai Li-Xin Wooden Industries Co., Ltd proactively organized its members to visit this stunning show. The keen participation of the delegations further consolidates WMF 2008 to be the premier platform for industrial news and technological information exchange.
Distinguished visiting and buying enterprises also voted WMF 2008. IKEA, Hong Kong Royal Group, Tianjin Fusite Wood Product Co., Ltd, Trayton Furniture, Haomai Fuiture Group, Heshun Wood Co, Ltd, Langfang Great Tang Timber Co, Ltd., Jilin Hongding Wood Product Co., Ltd, Zhibang Kitchen Cabinet Decoration Co., Ltd, Wu Hang Bainuo Kitchen Cabinet Co., Ltd, etc visited the show and expressed their compliments to organizers. The overwhelming support of these market big players further strengthened WMF 2008 the perfect sourcing platform for woodworking machineries and furniture manufacturing equipments. On the other hand, organizers firstly cooperated with the famous research institute - Beijing Forestry University to arrange 100 undergraduates and research students to visit the show. By visiting this Asia's no.1 trade expo and sharing with exhibitors and attending seminars, these potential industrial elites apprehended and well equipped with most advanced and innovative world class technology.
With the excellent foundation built up in last edition, the professionalism of this edition was further improved and took the lead in woodworking show in Asia. Organizers successfully invited a series of renowned Chinese and international enterprises to exhibit in this biennial event. 2,000 high quality woodworking machineries on display at fairground, with numerous machineries firstly shown in China. Mr. Jose Pereira Dias, a buyer from Brazil said excitedly, "WMF 2008 is the best woodworking show I ever visited. The quality of exhibitors are exceptionally high and we have decided to visit the coming editions". Simultaneously, another buyers giving his testimonial, "We've got a fruitful trip here and found lots of excellent suppliers. We are now proceeding to purchase machineries", stressed Mr. Fong Jian Guo, the Chief Engineer of Yantai Li-Xin Wooden Industries Co., Ltd, an America wholly-owned company.
To maximize the benefits of both visitors and exhibitors, a series of exciting and fabulous concurrent events were organized to enhance the professionalism of the show. Among them, industrial players and media paid close attention to "Beijing 2008 Olympic Furniture Display Zone". This was the first time to demonstrate the furniture used in 2008 Beijing Olympic players village publicly and openly in the world and therefore raising visitors' curiosity and excitement. Moreover, various concurrent seminars have been held, including "Forum on Forestry and Woodworking Machinery for the Sustainable Economy" and "2008 World Furniture Outlook". Presented by honorable guest speakers coming from State Forestry Administration, Chinese Academy of Forestry, Beijing, Nanjing and Northeast Forestry University as well as other leading industrial experts, the former seminar featured how to motivate and maximize the development of forestry and woodworking machinery manufacturing industry under the condition of sustainable economy. The latter seminar was presented by Chiara Stella Pugliese, managing director of renowned European research institute CSIL. By providing up-to-date market figures and statistics and in-depth analysis and forecasts provided fruitful insights to visitors and industrial professions could explore business opportunities in different international emerging markets.
WMF 2008's honorary organizers are the State Forestry Administration of P.R. China, China International Exhibition Centre Group Corporation and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
